How to apply for funding

All ERS members are eligible to apply for funding to set up an Task Force aiming to develop Clinical Practice Guidelines, Statements or Technical Standard Assessments.

The next deadline is February 01, 2017.


ERS only Task Forces

An original application form should be sent by one of the following deadlines to the attention of the ERS Guidelines Director with a copy to the ERS Headquarters. Applications are reviewed by the ERS Science Council, with the help of outside reviewers.

Annual deadlines for the submission of ERS Task Forces: 

  • 01 February
  • 01 June 
  • 01 October

Important: Only proposals fully filled in (including TF members' COI forms) will be reviewed. Applicant of an incomplete proposal will be asked to resubmit it at the next deadline. Should you have any question regarding the application form, please do not hesitate to contact the ERS Office prior to the deadline.

Task Forces joint with other societies

The ERS also encourages the development of joint documents with other societies. If you are an ERS member involved in a Task Force with another society, contact the ERS Guidelines Working Group (at This email address is being protected from spambots. Joint ERS/ATS Task Forces

There is one annual deadline - always in July - for the submission of joint ERS/ATS task forces.  The deadline 2017 will be announced in due time.
